This is the easiest and yummiest appetizer on earth. I first tried the poppers at a friend’s house and fell in love. Then I made them for a party last weekend and fell even more in love because they were so easy to make, delicious, and a big hit! I’ve already received several requests for the recipe.
Here you go…
This will make 48 poppers.
- 24 fresh jalapeno peppers
- 14 -16 ounces cream cheese
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 12 slices of bacon
Cut stems off of peppers and cut them all in half long ways.
Remove seeds from peppers.
Mix cream cheese and cheddar cheese
Fill each pepper with cheese mixture
Wrap 1/2 slice of bacon around each pepper half.
Place on baking sheets and place in 450 degree oven for 10 to 15 minutes or until bacon is fully cooked or even better-BBQ until bacon is done.
Remove and serve.
*Some people add a little powdered ranch dressing mix to the cheese mix.
